  1. I agree, a great complement to O’brien’s list of Johnson’s crimes and calumnies, would be a monthly ? Weekly? Round up of Brexit Balls Ups. For balance, of course, you could include any Brexit Bonuses….😂

  2. I find it interesting that the papers hinted it was the only way to curb the surge in migration, whilst pro Brexit pushed letters through the doors of some neighbourhoods in London stating Brexit would make it easier for friends and family to travel from non EU countries to England

  3. Americans take note… THIS is what happens when you let Xenophobic and Isolationist (Republican) political party policies take hold in your country. People suffer while the rich elite just get richer.

  4. Whilst sent ahead airline luggage for travelers from mainland UK would be subject to delay for customs inspections, not sure why that would apply to NI travelers, who are, after all, travelling from inside the customs area. Can you please provide a link to evidence of this story? If you could, I would like to follow up on any such case, as it might have potential ramifications.

  5. Sadly, there are still millions of people in this country for whom the penny has yet to drop. They are emotionally attached to the Brexit project and cannot admit that they have been had. If Alan Sugar has had the balls to come clean, then maybe others will follow suit.

  6. I cant stand Boris Johnson or any other tory for that matter but, I really do think the main problem is the amount of Brits that suffer from a very bad case of Zelophobia. when a brexiteer says what a marvelous thing Brexit is.. I tell them to go to a pharmacy and they will give you something for your Zelophobia !

  7. USD TO STERLING HEADING for parity normally that would lead to an export boom but there is no chance of Trade with the USA. Liz Truss who torn up the Northern Ireland Protocol will get little chance from Biden. How can you sell to Europe when your customers have to fill out paperwork they are saying thanks but no thanks

  8. Didn’t David Davis, team brexit’s first lead brexit negotiator, say that “a UK/EU trade deal would be the easiest, quickest trade deal in the history of trade deals”?

So how come we don’t have a comprehensive EU Trade Deal? Could it be that brezit is a lie and team brexit are incompetent?

  9. There’s no doubt that those who possess wealth (no matter how that wealth was accumulated), can increase their wealth by working harder. It is equally true that ordinary workers, even if they work harder, no matter how much or how hard they work, will never accumulate wealth. They will continue to run, just to stand still. Brexit will only make all of this more difficult in the future for those who do not possess wealth.

  10. Brexit is shaping up to become a massive fight between the rich and the workers, for cost-of-living wages.

In the end, the workers will loose as more and more companies go bankrupt, I am sad to say. The rich hold all the cards… Workers will work harder than ever for wages that only just keep them from starving. It is back to the 19th century for England!

But then, you knew what you voted for, eh? So don't mind if I will give you a huge "Told you so" when Brexit has lost its shine and the unicorns turned out to be donkeys with female appliances tied to their heads.

  11. Well, we have always been treated like mushrooms; kept in the dark and fed on dung even if the dung was Tory lies, now with Liz Truss's freeing up the water companies et al to empty raw sewage into rivers and the sea it may become literally fed on shit! Once the energy crisis really hits small businesses and it has started already, what is left of the UK employment and economy will most likely disintegrate as the Liz (Hand grenade) Truss chaos rips society apart!

  12. As a UK citizen living in Portugal I have to add some information to one item here. I applied for the new Portuguese biometric Título de Residência card in December 2020. It's been a long wait, but on 10 August I received an invitation to register my biometric data, I made an appointment for the following day, the process took 30 minutes, I paid for the card online (€15), and received it by registered mail on 25 August. The system is now up and running and seems to be working effectively.

  13. I am one of the few UK citizens that can claim a Brexit benefit. After working in North America for 50 years, where I earned a modest pension. For the past five years I have benefitted from the precipitous decline in the British pound. The decline in the value of the pound has allowed me to shrug-off the unwanted costs of inflation and the stupidity of a government that chose to impose economic sanctions on itself.
