Californians find homes in Mexico to offset the skyrocketing cost of living.

Due to the increasingly unsustainable cost of living in California, more residents have left the state to live south of the border in search of a more sustainable lifestyle.

In this video, Andrew shares an article from CNBC explaining why people find Mexico more attractive than the USA.

  1. 3rd 🥉 world is California in the making
Mexico 🇲🇽 is a great place to avoid the iron fists of the American and Canadian policies … the brand names are fading fast….

  2. As a home owner in both US and Mexico it’s not as easy as you think unless you are ready to pay the more People move here the higher the cost . Also unless you are rich or have a business that gives you monthly income it’s not gonna work because the wages in Mexico are very low and remember it’s still a third world country in the majority of places and unless you are willing to pay for a nice home in the range of of 300k and up along with community fees places like Mereida and Mexico City are very expensive cities. If you don’t know the language good luck. The bureaucracy is slow the roads suck and the power goes off once in a while.

  3. I have been traveling for 6 years, originally from Australia. I arrived in Mexico 3 weeks ago after spending 6 months in Colombia. I got 180 days on arrival so I still have a lot more time to visit many places. I'm moving back to Colombia in January so for me, this is just a nice long vacation. I can see why people from around the world move here as it has a nice relaxed, easygoing feel to it. The people are nice, the food is great, and the weather is good. I'll be relying mostly on Airbnb's whilst I travel throughout the country, and in my searching, I do think the prices are a little high for what you get. Food prices aren't too bad, though.

  4. Moving to Merida Mexico has been life changing for me. My monthly expenses are currently under $1,000.00 USD. Living a minimalist lifestyle here has allowed me to travel and do so many things that the rat race had me living paycheck to paycheck.

  5. Mmmm, Mexico is a beautiful country but why not mention the crime? Same where I am from. I can have a better quality of life but then you have to deal with the crime, corrupt police, corrupt politicians. No, thank you.
