What a beautiful Canary Island Date Palm! I have seen these growing in the UK, although they tend to grow much more slowly there. I wonder if you have observed any high plateau coconut palms (from Madagascar) in Portugal or California. Definitely an interesting species new to cultivation worth checking out.
There is a ton of regular dates also especially at the beach. At least in the Malaga region in Spain close to south Portugal. If you Decide to go to the Canaries I recommend Tenerife or one of the less known Islands like El Hierro. If going to Gran Canaria choose the northern side. The south is like a mini vegas in a really bad way, with drunk tourists all over and ugly appartment blocks and there is like 0 vegetation. Fuerteventura is fairly sparsely populated but basicly only got rock, it looks like being on Mars. Not a huge Fan, but the most northern city is kinda nice. But I would avoid those 2 Islands alltogether.
👍 Nice
awesome looking palm I was looking at your videos and you have some great videos on the palms

Beautiful palm are you going to madeira that's the only place in Portugal I know of that has coconuts. Lots of other tropical palms there too
