Praia das Avencas is a small beach located between Parede and S. Pedro, next to Estrada Marginal. With a discreet location, the beach is located in an area of cliffs that are ecologically protected.

Praia das Avencas is not served by a specific parking lot, forcing cars to park on the streets of Parede. Access is via a pedestrian walkway under the Estrada Marginal, which connects an area of housing to the lower part of the town. The other entrance, by stairs that descend the cliff, leads to the Marginal.
