Cascais To Lisbon Portugal Train Travel Summer 2019

Cascais To Lisbon Portugal Train Travel Summer 2019 Norm and Tina of This Is Our Retirement travel from Cascais sea front town to Lisbon Portugal on the CP Train service to Cais do Sodre train station in Lisbon. After arriving in Lisbon we have lunch at the popular Time Out Food Market a popular al fresco dining venue at the renovated Mercado da Ribeira. We enjoy a vegetarian quiche made at a small kitchen restaurant in the market.

After lunch we walk to our hotel in Rossio Square, The Hotel Metropole a centrally located vintage hotel in a superb location. The hotel had upgraded us to a Rossio Square Premium room with amazing views of Lisbon Castle and the popular Rossio Square. We give you a room tour of our Hotel Metropole Lisbon.

  1. Going to portugal landind in lisbon in october. I want to rent a car and drive to the south. Where is nice place to settle for a week and be central to the south of portugal attractions? Albufeira? lagos? thank you!

  2. Welcome to my little Portugal I’m living in the US. Because my parents unfortunately immigrated to America but when I say unfortunately I don’t mean in a bad way because this is my new home that made me have a job that I like that I can make more money verses if I was living in Portugal unfortunately, but if it wasn’t because of the financial reasons you bet your sweet SSS. I would definitely, would live there, but for now I’m here in the USA.☹️ Best wishes on your new journey or new chapter in your life greetings from 🇺🇸❤️👍😘🇵🇹

  3. Hi There,
I just came across your channel with this video! I love Portugal… it’s fun to see it from your perspective. I’ve done the train from Parade, (just before Estoril) because I drove there to meet a friend who lives there then we took the train in to Lisboa (my first time in the city – I was renting a house in Peniche).
I have to say, your t-shirt stood out to me ( 10:27 )… as I’m from Ottawa. I’d love to hear the story there!
Fabulous room overlooking Rossio Square and Castelo Saõ Jorge.
Cheers and thanks for sharing your Portugal holidays.

  4. I would'nt mind dragging my suitcase just as long it was in beautiful surroundings and sunshine like that, liked the look of Tina's quiche there.Lovely 'airy' room and view(lucky you)………good tips there guys…….have fun…..cheers….Stu….👍👌

  5. Great hotel room with a view over the square and the castle! Lucky you! Certainly a vintage hotel in a superb location.
I do the same as you. I send emails to our hotels in Crete and Khao Lak telling them what we want and so far we have always got what we wanted.
Thanks for sharing and wishing you a nice day!

  6. The Time Out Food Market looked like a neat place to stop for lunch. The quiche looked yummy! Very nice hotel room with a great view. Good advice on how to ask for room upgrades. Applies to so many things. All you have to do is ask. You may get told no, but… you may get a yes! Enjoying going along on your trip, Norm and Tina!
