Casey Baden (b.1991) is an artist based in Los Angeles, USA.

“I am invested in the body and its specific experience alongside the objects, space, and relationships with other bodies that surround it. Combing craft (the handmade, embodied knowledge, enduring labor), figuration, intimate personal experience, and the domestic, my works compel and are full of traces of physical touch, attempting to foster the critical space of emotion and create opportunities for immersion and embodiment. Dichotomies like attraction and repulsion, holding on and letting go, independence and belonging, individuality and uniformity, natural and synthetic, private and public, personal and political enliven these works with dynamic tension.”

PADA is an Art Residency & Gallery based in a post-industrial site near Lisbon, Portugal.
