The brewery is in the back of a bar on Funchal harbour, great place to spend some time and some very excellent beers as well,.place is run by Germans and much is German style beer with a bit of a local twist, and there is a reasonable amount of decent beer on mainland Portugal as well when you look for it

Nice one Simon. There is definitely an up and coming craft beer scene in Portugal. The cask is from Madeira wine using the Tinto Negra grape 👍👍👍
This is what I like about this channel….it introduces me to beers I've never heard of from around the world, Portugal is a country I associate with lager and wine so to see craft from here is really interesting, the bottle is really nice!
The bottle gives a tiny amount of beer in the glass, but 11.5% is strong
Great review 👍 I do wonder how the Portuguese view and opinion may have helped alter this beer from the traditional English template for a barley wine, considering they are traditionaly a wine produceing and consuming nation.
