This week was a DESASTER. We tackled a project that was over our heads. But we came up with a new game plan, and we decided to start the electricity. As a couple building our dream house in North Portugal, we know that we can’t win them all. But what matters is to focus on our end goal and on our vision for our DREAM HOUSE in North Portugal.
25 weeks ago, we bought an abandoned farm in Tras-os-montes, North Portugal, and we’re building our dream place with a public garden, an ice cream kiosk, and a tiny house.
We left the Rat trace for a simple life in North Portugal. And this is a slice of our dream and a new simple life.

Desaster – Disaster.
Courage, il fait très chaud !! Vous êtes sur la bonne voie !! 🌻🌻
Hi folk it was a hard one to watch when thing go askew. Nick from project Portugal put up some plasterboard. His ceiling was a bit lower so he didn't need a ladder. He used some dollies. If you want to see how he did it ref. Project Portugal esp 64. Time stamp 34 min. Hope this may help. Keep positive and stay safe. Hils.
A WARDROBE…YES…SOUNDS GREAT!…;)

Hello Sindy and Dan, As I write this it is Monday morning 1st August. I guess you will be so very busy moving. You were asking so much of yourselves to be able to put those sheets on the ceiling. As always being the great people that you are you took a deep breath and came up with a new plan. This is how you deal with a problem!!! Great video again I found it interesting how you wired the house Dan. (now that is a job you have done before, Ha ha Ha.) I loved the bit at the end when all the wired were neatly tied off and you quietly said "finished" As always Sindy so supportive. You know Sindy and Dan this window that you give us each week into your journey of building your little house is so much more than what you ever intended, you are amazing people. Hello Boyz don't get the way while the move is taking place. Hope all is gong well with the move and I will look forward to the next video whenever you are able to make one.
Thank you so much. Cheers
Hello, I love your channel, you two are so sweet, I adore you, regarding the old closet, find out in the area of Braganza or other nearby regions, there are many carpenters who make those old closets, do a search through the regions of central Portugal… big hug
I feel for you the pressure to get finished is stressful. You can never have enough sockets…get some with USB's included…they are life changing (ok maybe an exaggeration) but they are brilliant.
All the best with the move!
I love your vision, resilience and determination, despite the inevitable setbacks. You will finish with a beautiful house❤
Hope you get to enjoy something nice with this.
I like your honesty. You both show how difficult it can be. I like the fact Cindy that your trousers and tops are getting more holes in- some builds I’ve watched are just too perfect. You and me are a lot alike except you’re prepared to ‘do’ ladders 😂
😀
Out of 2 studs you make a T shape. The vertical stud and the crosspiece have to be always longer than the height you are working on. You hold the gypsum over your head to the celing and your partner wedges the "T" in place and the crosspiece holds up the gypsum. Then the floor holds up the gypsum while you nail or screw it. Wedges and levers can move the earth. Make a second T and the guysum will be wedged in place securely.
good job
Great video guys .
Well done guys! Best of luck for your move! Take super care and fingers crossed it all goes as well as possible, Laura ❤️❤️❤️
👏👏👏Great job. You two are just the best.
going to miss the weekly vlogs 🥲 oh well time to get on with our own build and stop watching vlogs 🤣😂
Fantastic work you all are doing! Always hiccups in any build and to know to walk away and refresh your self and ideas is smart….I’m getting excited as I’m sure you and Dan are as well!!
Three things….
1. I'm amazed that when the gypsum broke, there was no cursing! I did when i watched it 🤣
2. You two look so tired at the end of the day…but soooo happy.
3. Another huge effort, well done.
