Rick do you agree? This is Africa's problem and I see no real immediate solution because the colonizers left a psychological firewall that protects their interest at all costs. But there is hope:

(1) Africa doesn't need foreign aide because it is rich in natural resources, and all it does is create dependency and further corrupt weak African leadership.

(2) Africa also have to remove from its culture the idea that the west is best, and stop allowing politicians along with family members to push young Africans to leave the continent in order to send money back home. People don't realize that a large portion of some of these African countries economies are supported by this practice. All this does is give politicians cover for not fixing their countries' unemployment issues, and other quality of life standards.

(3) Manufacturing and exports, this is the key to ending all Africa's economic woes as it did lifting China out of third world status. Everything under the sun is now made and exported from China, allowing it to become a super economic and military power. However, for Africa to follow this path it has to travel over more of a rocky and treacherous terrain, because its not just how African's view themselves, but in how the world views them, and any product made there would be suspect of lower quality. If I walked up to anyone in the west and said this passenger jet/car/ medical device was designed and manufactured in Africa by Africans, there would be few if any buyers. Now, there are exceptions to this rule such as South Africa because it has over 5 million European South Africans.

Lastly, until Africa is really independent from the west and other outsiders, it will continue on being the toilet paper for the rest of the world. African leaders need to reject foreign aid and Africans sending money home, along with loans from other nations they have no way to payback, except being robbed of more natural resources. Africans need to see themselves as beautiful, and smart people, because they are, and stop being marginalized by a world that only sees them as a meal ticket for their own countries. Africans need to stop complaining about corruption if they are not going to stay home and do something about it. Africa needs to get rid off all of the old colonized education and write its own history for their children, if they really want a different future. Love Africa with all your mind, body and soul, in doing so you will find you have a new love for yourself! May God Bless you and keep you all!!🥲❤❤
