Hi guys! It was great roaming the Christmas festival with you last week when you filmed this. Unfortunately for me, I just arrived back home in the U.S. this morning about 2 am (local time). Looking at -65 degree wind chill temperatures tomorrow. I miss the wonderful Madeira weather already… Maybe a Poncha will warm me up 🥶

Lights! Yes, tomorrow sunrise is at 10:05 and sunset at 14:22, which gives us 4h17m of daylight. That is why we have strings, totalling about 1 000 LED lights outside on our property, including 8 strands of lights on the flagpole, and more glittering lights around the terrace. Lights at this time of year are important, to help everyone keep their sanity. We are not Christians, so I will conclude by hoping everyone has an enjoyable festive season.

What a beautiful Christmas celebration there on Madeira! It culminates a year of wonderful festivals. What a special place. It's also pretty cool that the people of Madeira make such an effort to keep the island clean. When I'm there, I plan to 'pitch in' if I see a stray wrapper.
