This video follows the start to finish construction of a small, but very stylish, vacation home for one of our clients. We are calling it The Modern Mountain Getaway, and it features vaulted ceilings, a huge wall of windows, and lots of outdoor space for the owners zen garden! In this video we will highlight building techniques, building codes, order of operations, cost, building materials and tools used, and also even talk about the problems we run into during the build! This is going to be good fun.. And the best part is that you can rent this home for your own mountain getaway!!
This video is a very condensed compilation of a video series that we previously released comprised of 26 longer videos adding up to about six hours total content. This is a great way to catch all of the highlights in about a quarter of the time!

Great video guys, very interesting to see a one stop shop builder that makes every thing. Well presented and a great culture within your team resulting in a great finished house. Thanks for sharing.
Fantastic build!
I’m down with Covid, and not in the construction biz at all. I watched every minute, mesmerized. You guys are great at what you do! Thanks for taking us along!
been in the business 40 years and i love your attention to the little details that most builders don't do or care to do
In my 47 years of laying block I've never laid block on a footing with out rebar every 3ft. It keeps walls from shifting and lifting due to frost. All so mortar is mixed at a ratio of 2.5 to 1 but can be 3 to 1 with a course aggregate (sand) I noticed you mixed a 4 to 1 ratio. Not good where there's frost. Do a good job and DON'T cut corners. 😶
Molto di mio gusto , ci abiterei volentieri…
So what was the total cost for this house?
Any references for Oklahoma? Ya'll are exactly what I need!
I love watching your videos. I live here northern Nevada and I’m looking for home builder. I just purchased a lot to build my home, but It’s hard for me to find a reliable, experienced and excellent builder just like your team.
Don’t try this yourself
You said pretty 28 times! That's one pretty every 4:25 minutes.
I enjoyed this video it made me think of many things I’ve done in my life and how you think outside the box. The other thing I really enjoy the way your crew works together everybody seems to get along. I will continually to look for your videos I enjoy watching them very much thank you and have a great day.
A great video and job. Incredible.
Also for your shower why aren’t you using the Schluter Curti system and cut labor time by 2/3.
Better to use Detra heat you won’t have that problem of throwing away heating mat. Also why didn’t you guys go with 4 inch Can lights . Not huge 6 inch.
What a great video. Loved the build from start to finish. And some great custom out of the ordinary things. Love it. 👍
This was awesome! Not too technical, a little fun, and I learned things. Also, this is a very close design to my own house, just seriously upgraded.
What was the total cost of this build?
Wonderful,I don't mind diy channels,but i love the professional ones better 👍🏽
Two hours well spent, I really enjoyed every minute. Thumbs up 😀
I didn't think I could ever watch something 2 hours long but these dudes made it worth it they funny asf too 🤣🤣
its home easy crack.why? foundation you not put rebar steel inside concrete slab.its importan.
Get away from who ?
Concrete floors on a slab, didn't see or hear you mention heating the floor, that's a BIG mistake. the floors will never be comfortable, even with a rug. They will always be cold, and when it's cold outside feel like a cold draft. I love concrete floors, just would never ever have them without them being heated. Not to mention having them heated in the winter will save on heating cost, as it rises and works to warm the air when it's colder. I live in the same zone, had unheated floors over a slab for yrs and hated it.
