✨ABOUT ME
Hey there, I’m Beatriz, a 26 year old Portuguese girl!
In 2019 I moved to Amsterdam, from sunny Lisbon, after landing a job in the city of the canals. A year and many adventures later, I decided to start writing about my endeavors in Amsterdam, my traveling adventures and more personal stories I believe are worth sharing.
In 2021, I decided to create this Youtube channel to help my fellow expats that are considering moving to Amsterdam or The Netherlands. Moving can be really tough, so I’m here to help you out and make your life easier!

Thank you for this detailed breakdown. It will help 😊
Thanks allot my dear for your value vlog 👍💐
Live on a boat, cost only about 200 euros per month
"The city of the canals" yeah, that'd probably be Venice
800Euro for beers per month sounds more reasonable tbh 😅

Excuuuse me?! 😮
thank you, this was a godsend
Gocery prices does not add up,that is not true Euro 450.00 per month for 2 persons
Be warned … if you live in the old house (as we do in the center of Delft) gas can be as much as 270EUR per month
Really informative 👍
I like our originality…you covered very practical areas👍🏾
I am Dutch but havent lived in Amsterdam for over 2 years, this video has been so helpful to start making my budget for when I return. I will return with a bit more stable income then when I left and I will come with my partner, so it has been difficult for me to picture what our finances will look like. Also because we really want to start saving for our future together. I do think I usually spend less on internet, water and groceries. But I notice that in general European or International work visa immigrants that come to the Amsterdam tend to spend more than the average Dutch person. Amsterdam is really good at tricking you into spending a lot because there is sooo many quality nice things haha
Can you make a video breaking down student living in (or around) Amsterdam?
Excelente vídeo, Beatriz! Amo o seu canal. Você tem dicas de vintage shops em Amsterdam?
I'm not going back to Europe until I don't have to wear a mask over my face and look at everyone else wearing a mask on their face. And if it never ends i'm not going back. At least I was there when things were normal (1990).
These videos should start with employment and salary of the presenter. So people can have a better scope
Please be ma friend I'm coming to netherland
Amo Ámsterdam!
Very helpful! Watching your videos just make me want to move to Amsterdam haha, well maybe one day ☺️ I was actually surprised how affordable the costs are. I live in Finland, pay much lower rent but still my ''essential'' costs are pretty much the same 😄
The Living in The Netherlands is very, very expensive
Hi Beatriz! Thank you for this very insightful video. Would you have any recommendations/know where I could find about the different health insurances?
Thank you!❤️
Beatriz this videos are saving my dreams !! I'm finishing my master's in architecture and I always wanted to move to Amsterdam !!! Thank you so much !! Seeing a Portuguese to actually do it gives me hope that I as a Portuguese can also do it 🤩 you are the best ☺️🤩🤩
Hi I LOVE You. I Like your motion and activity. Actually I Like your style. Reply must baby.
You are so beautiful <3 thank you for video!
For 22 euro a month you can have a pathe card an go to the movies as many time’s you want.
Ola bonitona…
Keep up the good work, Beatriz! Rumo a mais e melhor 🙂
Thank you very much for the explanation
Il live there for 68 years . It.s 15 % more expensive then in other Place's
Everything checks out but the cost of groceries. How on earth will you get away with 450EU per month for 2 people? That is 7,5EU per person a day and 2,5EU per meal. If you are claiming you can hit that number consecutively with your partner well hats off to you Beatriz. On top of it there are other stuff you buy from market like cleaning materials for clothes and home. Just give you perspective we net around 1200EU for 2 people a month in market and on top of it we spend 800eu appx for out eating & drinking.
i wouldn't want to live in Amsterdam even if was free.
Basic fit is cheapest @ 15 p/m
Forget to mention – rains a lot and riding bicycle on rainy day not nice
haha: "Amsterdam has one of the best food scenes in Europe" – NOT. Only if you like sandwiches 😀
Hi Beatriz, great videos, i like them a lot! Ps: it’s €65 per year instead of €65 per month to go for free to almost every museum. 😊😉
