This questions is always difficult. We could just throw out a random number, that wouldn’t be fair to people who truly want to know to consider various things. I’m sure in your home country or state prices can vary dramatically. Portugal is no different. Stranger are going to have a hard time how much it will cost you based on the things that are personally important to you. We can only share our experience and then you still have to take that with a grain of salt.

Write down the amenities that are important to you specifically. Then research housing online based on your amenity list and see how much prices vary. Housing is going to be your largest cost in most cases so start there.
