Beijinos e abraços,
Carissa, Iwan, Frankie & Albi

Carissa, Iwan & Frankie decided one night over a bottle of wine that moving from North Wales to Portugal would be a good idea. Within a month they were on the road to Portugal to find the perfect piece of land to call their new home. We picked up Albi the cat along the way. Subscribe to follow our journey as we turn an old stone barn into our home, and learn the ropes of looking after a piece of land to make an abundant garden and one day, our very own winery.

  1. 😲 wow already hot, but yes sun has always this sample, it is warming up….and to begin with I loved seeing your seating hanging behind you. It is. Very popular bed stile in Brazil north and north east area. Typical in warm and simple leaving stile. Your flowers are just gorgeous and the house getting more and more homey 🥰💫🤗

  2. Have you considered sanding the edges of the shelves to smoothen the cement? Doesn't matter how it's done when you are not a professional, the important thing is to get the result you want! Keep up the great work!

  3. Here’s a long term plan in the current climate with your well and water tank contact kris harbour natural building looking at your power in the future and generate a great following .. plus there are other options with the land St nick has all the ingredients for hydro power
Take a look at kris in north wales ?

  4. Wow, love the red of your roses. Maybe you can plant cuttings from it in other spots you'd like to admire them? Your projects continue to come along nicely. Maybe the heat made it harder some how to render the blocks 🤷🏻‍♀️? Very kind of you to make the chickens their own wading pool, and even more so to remind us to send poor Cindy some love💗🌟.

  5. My grandmother used to propagate roses by cutting off a blooming stem, planting it in rich dark soil and placing a glass jar on top making a small green house and keeping it moist until rooted. I thought you might want to propagate the rose by the well. It is a beautiful color

  6. Thanks for the list of other channels Carissa. There's 3 that I didn't know about. I look forward to enjoying their experiences too ☺

  7. Beautiful sunny central Portugal. I long to come visit that part of the world because of watching you two, Nick & Andrea, Theo & Bea, and Cindy. Your kitchen is coming along beautifully. Your animals are delightful.

  9. The rose is beautiful and what a lovely surprise for you to discover. The kitchen is really coming along now and I love your unique shelves. Stay cool because 30 degrees is a tad warm, we Brits are just not used to it and in Wales less so.

  10. Can I tell you how cute those chickens are ? Those roses are brilliant…can they be transplanted? i know nothing about roses, but when we went on a trip to Napa Valley to the wineries the roses were planted in the vineyards everywhere

  11. Hi guys! subscribers here, we follow and enjoy your channel . I'd like to comment, but please don't take it as a criticism, just a warning because we care. You mentioned the hot weather and it seems to be frequently sunny where you live. You spend lots of time outside in the sun, I rarely see you guys wearing a hat or covering up. There is great danger now from UV rays . The ozone layer is being destroyed and uvc is hitting the earth. normally uvc does not penetrate to the earth surface. UVC is the next to xrays and can cause skin cancer in a short time period of exposure if not blocked. You may notice how intense the sun is on the skin. Here in Newfoundland we usually never hit 35c even in high summer, average day temps for mid May are quite cool with lots of rain and cloud (like Wales!) today it was over 17c with forecast 20c tomorrow, clear skies and sun, unusual weather. It is also quite dry here for May. I work outside all day long ,vegetable gardening, wood cutting etc, I wear a heavy zinc cream, skin, protection and wear clothing that does not expose any skin , such as legs or arms. I wear a large hat with neck protection. Just so you can know that it's not just my extreme, weird thinking, check out Dane Wiggington "UVC the sterilization of planet earth part one". All the best guys, have a great summer! Howie.

  12. You should take cuttings from the rose? 12in ones shoved 11pms down into one of your garden beds and watered would be ready to lift by the autumn. You could plant one round the kitchen wall.

  13. It is between 80F and 90F here in Central Vermont and, according to forecast will remain so for at least 2 weeks.About a week ago it was below freezing (31F) one morning !! Weather authorities have been pushing caution to those who feel like jumping into a lake to cool off !!!
Trouble is that these air temps are usually found in July and August and so swim able waters are likely to stun.
I am a huge Jazz fan so love sitting out under the huge maple watching your video and enjoying the tunes !!!
