In this weeks video Marlon and I are talking through the D7 process. What we went through, documents we needed, things that went wrong and the challenges we faced.

Here’s a list of documents that we needed:
Birth certificate for the children
Passports – photocopies notarised
Letter from the childrens UK school to say when they left
Marriage certificate
Rental agreement from Portugal
Proof of income
Bank statement from the UK and Portugal
Travel insurance (1 year for the whole family)
Motivation letter
Sponsorship letter for the children
DBS / Criminal Record dates within the last 3 months
2 Passport pictures for everyone
Appointment letter for the VFS
Visa forms
Authorizations to consult the Portuguese criminal record (we obtained this from our solicitor)
Proof of passive income
NIF numbers for whole family
Travel ticket if you’re planning on travel and don’t want to leave your passport
Fee for the Visa
