The smell of damp has always been present downstairs in our old Portuguese farm house. So we chipped all the sand and cement render off the walls and now it’s time to tackle the floor.

Join us for a bit of concrete breaking, rubble hauling and dirt digging in this episode and a discussion all about damp. We’ll talk about how we’re planning to deal with moisture in this old stone building and how to work around the fact that there is no damp proof course.

We’ll also talk a bit more about the history of the building and show you something SUPER COOL that our neighbours gave us a couple of months ago that provides some evidence about how the building used to look and how the previous owners used it.
