We are in the middle of renovating our house in an abandoned Portuguese village. Currently we are working on the mini rebuild. In this episode i have a lot of plans for the day.. but as usual on The Portugal Project the day doesn’t go as planed. We did that the delivery with materials in..but you don’t see that in this video. In this video you see Miguel with the digger finally turning up and starting on flattening the land. In the next episode you never know what is going to happen :p

What is the old stone building ? What is in side? Did this come with the purchase of the property you have been working on? You might think about putting in a drainage ditch at the slope of the side of the road to keep the rain water from washing the newly exposed soil away.

You seem much stronger on your walk than you did a few months ago. I was inspired to start walking 4-5 miles per day. Been doing it for 6 months and lost a bunch of weight and was taken off diabetes and blood pressure medications. I had no idea that walking was so effective. Thought you might like to know what an influence you had on a viewers life.

Hi Jasper,Duarte and Co. Love the walk, nice thin clouds, its getting hot by 8.30 in the morning now. Here it's sand storms,hot winds and no clouds, HOT. The digger makes a difference leveling out an area, looks good already. Things are progressing now, which is good news for you and the project. Have a good week, you'll be back to mixing cement and tiling again. Stay safe,drink plenty of water too.
Doesn't the soil wash away from under the house when it's raining, maybe the complete house colapses this way. Maybe put some sheet piling there to keep it all steady….
