  1. Hi Doug: I am traveling in Lisbon now for a few days. I wonder whether you can refer me a good English spoken accountant to speak to. Also, I would like to know where to shop for the required medicine policy? Thanks 🙏

  2. We are on track to retire early, probably in Portugal too, so I love seeing your journey. We still have younger kids that need education but did not want to wait until retirement to explore Europe so we moved from US to Switzerland. If by chance you are interested in house exchange with Switzerland 🇨🇭 feel free to contact me. We will be in Madeira in mid October (gorgeous golden season on lake Geneva).

  3. I do not agree with guys at all.

Your retirement should be about doing things which you like to do but when you were working you did have not time for.

Most people have no interests outside work.

    WRONG.

  4. Lists Rock! Been using All of my Life! Others have often questioned me but I have ignored them. I’m retiring and they are still working! 😂😂 will arrive there in late March 2023. Will meet up with you guys then. JP

  5. I’m in Maine on “vacation”. It’s nice to see again «  Je me souviens  » licence plates from Quebec after a two- year hiatus due to COVID 19. However, that made me think that I would not want to be part of an expat community in Portugal. It’d be almost like staying here in the US. Being realistic and all, how possible is it at age 55 to make local friendships? I used to travel a lot before the pandemic and it didn’t matter to me whether I met people. But settling in foreign territory I think might be different. Or is it not? Does it matter to you?
