  1. I'm so happy you are back on The Farm even if it is still pouring down! Glad too that the spring is re-sprung or at least on the way there!

The sink looks perfect and you were right with 3rd time's the charm – I can't wait to see what colour the kitchen ends up, but I was getting major Safari vibes from the colour it was in this episode. Will Tara be putting her finishing touches on it with those beautiful stencils?

Wishing you all the luck possible for the plumbing, although I have a feeling that even though you don't like doing it, you will end up just as good with that as with your carpentry/joinery!
    *hugs * to all xx

  2. Great video and so excited to see the finished sink……….I know it's going to be great! Love the stair rails and that would also be a huge worry for me but what a worker and how fabulous it does look! WOW as little one would say! I love how kindly you speak to each other……….so refreshing!
Blessings to your little family and Merry Christmas!!!!

  3. Ok.. wasn't expecting that on banister… Ok..better… Take a doll and shove it between the rails to make sure your kid can't shove his head through and hang themselves.. roughly about 4" inches between rails… Just to be sure ..

  4. Drill down on stairs.. plumbing pipe banister.. and steel mesh railings… Take rubber and put it on corners. .
Tread strips glued to steps. You peal and stick them so you don't slip… Like rough sand paper. They come in strips… Drill a hole into concrete imbed the pipe cement around to fix the banister..bolt grid from post to post… Banister on right bolted to wall… In case you slip.

  5. I am so glad you made it there and back safely Tara! The sink fits…hurray!!!! That little man Crusoe warms my heart. Looking forward to seeing the plumbing all in and working!!!! Fingers crossed!

  6. Tara check out the shot of Sawyer in the bouncer looking up at you whist you were talking, absolutely priceless. Kitchen sure is taking shape.. What a lovely home you will have. I am sure your family in Africa will be looking forward to your visit. Cannot wait to see videos from there.

  7. A chuva não dá tréguas. A escada está 5 estrelas. Sugestão: na estrada de acesso meter malhas anti ervas com Gravilha (pedra pequena) por cima e acabavam com a lama e ficava mais seguro para os carros.

  8. ☮️♥️☀️🌹
    Care About You!
    John and Tara.
John, you are a professional carpenter! Your workmanship is quite impressive! That's the good news, what we don't like is to see that both of you made the decision to drag your babies in a rainy storm, which is very dangerous and should be treated like a snow storm because of all the accidents you will see along the way. It's bad enough for adults to have to travel in hazardous conditions, but when it comes to children for bad weather, for their safety and security, there's no other place they should be but at home. If you have to drag them in any weather conditions, you have to make the decision to cancel, no ifs or buts because you're making the decisions for them and it has to be wise and smart. Also if you have to put oil in your car and you're driving it, until you have time to do so, then the risk goes up for you to screw up the engine even more and when you're going long distance, the oil heats up too much and can cause a fire. When you have a car that is sick, you have to avoid all chances with children, it's better to stop what you're doing and only one goes to do long distance errands because of the car situation. I know, as I had an accident in the rain with my small children when they were little and I had to run with them across the road to get shelter as the car started smoking. You really have to think twice when it comes to traveling with small children, that a lot of times you will have to cancel projects for a day or two because their needs comes first. You can always wash dishes in two separate containers and Rome was not built in a day. Tara, you also asked should you do a garden now or later. My answer to that is, you are not superwoman as we would all love to be, but you can't when you have babies because they need every minute and devoted attention when they're little. It's best to wait when they go to school, because when you do a garden you become a gardener and it costs money because you need this and that. The sun will take your energy that you need for the children, not to mention the stress of being in the garden because you're worried about they're doing inside, or have to prepare dinner, or pick them up from school or do this and that before the day is done. Growing vegetables in the garden is great, but it can also be cheaper buying it from the farmers market. Growing fruit trees can be better since the kids are little because all you have to do it plant it and water it at the start, then they're on their own and don't need a lot of care like children. Growing vegetables needs a lot of care like children. You have to decide, do I give all that time to the vegetables that I can give to my children? When you plant fruit trees, you need two of a kind, because they pollinate on each other. Even the roots can touch each other and give you better fruits in the long run and grow faster. Concentrate only on singing lullaby's and reading to them and making cookies and cupcakes, not to mention taking them for walks on the grounds, but focusing on them, not the garden because there's not enough time in the day to do four jobs, the children, the gardening and taking care of the home and yourself.
    Happy Holidays! ☃️🎅

  9. 🙌 Yea! I’ve never been so excited about a sink before! I held my breath through that part of the vid with you 😂 so glad it fit for you all! And lovely banister wood work 👍 great job all around! Safe travels to Africa!

  10. My heart was in my mouth when you were trying out the sink for size! The place is looking great and I can't wait to see the finished product. Be glad you are there and not in Scotland – it's minus 7 here, even in the daytime and hard to stay warm.
