Interesting. Could be worth setting up a "paper residency" to see where it leads. And after two years of paper residency, perhaps there would be someone in the government who could expedite the application for citizenship in exchange for some "monetary consideration".
I've always liked the DR. It's on my list because I'm from Flrorida. I like staying in Santiago. I have some other countries to check out before I Makena final decision. I worry about being bored there if I decide to move.
