Not sure how easy it is going to be for me as my parents came from former Yugoslavia (Dad is from Croatia and mum is from Bosnia). Both gave up their citizenship when they move to Oz re 1956. Now with the breakup, not sure how that will go as both have passed away…or I'm guessing my dad is gone as he moved to the Philippines some 25-30 yrs ago and haven't spoken with him since. I have no idea of my grandparents' names on my mum's side though I do on my dad's side. Once I move to Serbia, I may look into it.
My son was born in Colombia and he wasn't granted citizenship because I am a US Citizen. Had I known this before we would've had the baby in a different country..

It's finally time. Everyone starts to recall where their ancestors came from in the "civilized world." Many countries are better places to live currently than Canada or the United States ( certain states) UK, Australia, Austria, China… I can't believe that Canadians are escaping to other countries. Canada was the best place to live before Trudeau came to power. I'm thinking of Kirgizstan if Truedau makes Canada like China today😢. We should not allow him to do that.😡
My brother & wife & baby daughter went to Nepal for 15 yrs as Cdn citizens. Early in that time their son was born in Nepal. At the age of majority, the son had to choose which citizenship he would keep. He was not permitted by Nepal, I believe, to keep both. He kept his Canadian citizenship where he returned to live @ about age 15.
What about citizenship by adoption?
Australia doesn't grant citizenship to the children of foreigners unless they stay in the country til they're 10.
Did you miss the Australian Constitutional Crisis regarding section 51 the other year?
My father moved to USA and got the citizenship by naturalization. But me being his son, I feel like i wouldn't get USA citizenship – at least that way. The thing is, he immigrated to the States with a different name than his original one (tho later he changed it back to his original name) and i think that's why when he filed the papers to bring me & the family to USA it got rejected. He is my biological father.
