Thanks for this video; I leave for Portugal (Lisbon) in 2 days and have been reading about these earthquakes.
I guess earthquakes are very difficult to predict. I have traveled through the Ring of Fire including Peru, Chile and of course California. On the other side, Japan, Thailand, Hon Kong, etc. But when we visited Sri Lanka in 2020 the remembrance of the Tsunami in 2004, I believe, is what had me very apprehensive. Particularly when you know that the epicenter of the earthquake was 3,000 miles away. Cringe worthy. You come to realize that volcanic activity can hit you regardless of location via gigantic waves even though volcanic aren’t within your area per se.
