MADEIRA, Portugal – Glamping at Canto Das Fontes is literally heaven on Earth in Madeira.
I stayed here for two nights as a birthday treat before I started the vlog. So you get a break from my voice in this video and just enjoy the beauty of the location. I am so happy that I filmed my stay because it was a truly spectacular experience.
Located on the edge of a stunning cliff, you can choose to stay in either a teepee (€136/night) or a yurt (€166/night).
I stayed in the yurt which comes with a private kitchen, bathroom and BBQ area. You get to experience waking up surrounded by tropical plants and banana trees, hearing the calming noise of waves crash against the shore below. The views are jaw-dropping. If that wasn’t enough, theres a waterfall above which feeds a plunge pool which you can cool off in.
The owners have done their best to make the stay feel like you are in luxury. To top it all off, everything is eco friendly, with solar panels, rain-harvested water, organic fruit and veg growing for you to use.
It was an incredible experience and one of my most memorable stays on my travels so far.
