PADA Studios Artists-in-residence Emmely Elgersma & Jo Kitchen.

Emmely Elgersma & Jo Kitchen are collaborative artists living and working in London.

Kitchen and Elgersma first met when sharing an exhibition space in the 2018 Royal Academy’s 250th Anniversary Summer Exhibition. Since then, the Artists have established an intermittent collaborative way of producing and showing work. OFFICE was their second duo show by Kitchen and Elgersma; following their debut duo show PUB in 2019. BothArtists’ work shares similar impasto, impressionistic iterations of the everyday object; Kitchen’s being rooted more so in painting, while Elgersma’s being predominantly in Sculpture.

PADA is an Art Residency & Gallery based in a post-industrial site near Lisbon, Portugal.
