The farm is located in the Douro demarcated region, 1 km from the historic heart of Vila Flor and 1.5 km from the expressway that connects Spain (30 minutes) and Porto (90 minutes), being the properties oldest in that region. The various tombs in the local museum link the Quinta to the grandson of the Marquês de Pombal, having had several owners since the 18th century (among them Real Companhia Velha and Quinta do Granjal).
