Ep. 15 | El Corte Ingles | 20 Places in 20 Days | Lisbon Portugal 2022

There’s no shortage of places to shop in Lisbon Portugal, and El Corte Ingles is a shopper’s paradise. A large department store with a supermercado, animal hospital, nail salon, hair salons, eateries, movie theatre, and much, much more.

  1. We absolutely love El Cortes Ingles! When purchased new luggage when were there in 2021. The Supermercado was amazing. Thank you for showing those other levels. We didn’t go down far enough. Also, thank you for the videos and giving me places to add to my list of places to go once we get to Portugal permanently 🙏🏾

  2. The type of pharmacy seen at 16:10 is called "parafarmácia", it's a kind of pharmacy that sells beauty, health products and also medication/drugs, but only those that can be bought in pharmacies without prescription (but in the parafarmácia are cheaper).
If I'm not mistaken, at 10:44, to the right, there's entry to the subway (S. Sebastião Station)

  3. I had that chocolate cake at Landeau Chiado when I was there in April. I just happened upon it when I was walking around that neighborhood. It's a lovely room with comfy chairs and I was the only one there! I can imagine it's packed in the summer. So delicious!!! I'll definitely go back it's that good! Thanks Kirsten.

  4. Hey Kirsten…We are neighbors, but too bad we are moving next week! Have you been to the Gulbenkian Museum, located in our area? It is FABULOUS and free on Sunday after 2pm!!! I love to walk the garden and we often picnic and chat with the ducks!! As for El Corte Ingles, I like it, but a bit too big…Oh, the view on the 7th floor is gorgeous and worth a drink or a piece of cake!!! The park just behind is nice as well and there's the Parque Eduardo and a lovely Cafe too!! Love it all and will miss my life in Avenidas Novas, but will go back…Great video!

  5. Hi Kirsten! I love your warm, sweet spirit! I just came across your channel this week and plan to binge all weekend watching all of your videos!!! I retired 3 years ago, and now working on my dream (plans) to move to Portugal. Thank you for the wonderful tour of this mall. WOW!! You may have answered this question before, but since I am new to your channel and have not gotten through all of your videos, can you tell me if you and your husband speak any Portuguese? If you have some, where did you get your language training from? Lastly, thank you for being transparent and honest in your videos! That means a lot to those of us who are considering moving there. Thank you.

  6. Wow! I’ve watched videos of people point it out, and keep walking by. Most hasn’t been inside yet. That’s a whole world of stuff! On one of my forums, a woman was disappointed that Portugal didn’t have a Target. Gurl! 😆 I’ll have to share your video and channel. 👏🏾

  7. As portuguese and living in the other side of the river I always considered El Corte Inglés a nice store to visit but not so much to buy… a bit pricy for me, unless is Saldos season. It was a traditional thing (years ago) for portuguese people when going to Spain always visit El Corte Inglés stores 🤣

  8. Love your personality! Love all your videos! Very informative! Planning to move to PT in March 2025. (Fingers crossed🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻)
