Francis Xavier wasn't responsible for the inquisition. As he only mentions Muslims and Jews and makes no mention whatsoever of Hindus, pagans or natives. Francis Xavier never wrote anything to pope regarding Inquisition, but to the King of Portugal which was completely ignored.
