This week we give you an update on our sweet dog Mimosa and her Leishmaniasis treatment. We also head back to our neighbors to carry on with the wine making process and distill some Aguardente!
We are Ken & Gina. 2.5 years ago, we got fed up with paying a mortgage and having to work boring office jobs just to keep our heads above water! We decided to take a big chance, sell everything, and buy a motorhome, which we used to drive our remaining belongings and our pets to Portugal. We bought a beautiful farm in Central Portugal where we live with our 3 dogs, 2 cats and a bunch of other farm animals. Every week we release new episodes of our Portugal Farm Life where you can get an inside look at how we live, on and around the farm, and adapt to the challenges of our new lives.

Thank you so much for sharing! The best channel about rural life in Portugal. I like how you don't make it all about you.
that pomada either wakes you up or throws you to the ground to sleep lol
best result is when you are drinking cups and cups and it seems kinda soft and then it hits you all at once, been there done that it's a good program of an afternoon to recover from one of those
well who would have thought mampoer in Portugal
Ken my bru, just wanted to say that we love your channel. We appreciate you and Gina and how you share your lives with us. As fellow Saffas planning to move to Portugal from Canada, your videos have been a source of inspiration. All the best to you and Gina (and the furry ones too). Check you later!
alcohol evaporates at 78 degrees celsius and so the closer you are to 78 the stronger it will be by making it hotter you evaporate more water which brings down the alcohol percentage
but adds more taste as flavour will come with the water rather than making it stronger and adding water later,
Wow! This was so so priceless learning from the old ways! They have so much to teach us, what a lovely couple, I would love to also learn from her gardening methods, and timing for plants. They are such sweet dears, lots of learning from them for sure! Thank you so much Ken and Gina!
🍻🍻
This world has beautiful people everywhere you go. I just love Joachim, Fernanda and Costa. Simple folk full of knowledge and life with hearts that overflow with love. What messes the world is politicians and News stations if we could get rid of the 2 I think we would have a wonderful world.
Those very greeny plants look like sweet potatoes
Alambique is a wonderful word. It's actually derives from Arabic (al-ʾinbīq) meaning "still
You guys have two (if I remember correctly) wells as well as a huge pond and you still struggling to water Gina's "lady garden":) You could have installed irrigation system or even water by hand and grow stuff, get better grapes harvest, etc. but I guess you don't have time or farming is just not your thing, which is understandable.
They are funny dogs in Sydney as a kid pple put plastic juice / soft drink bottles filled with water and no dogs did their ablutions on their lawn supposedly they won’t do it near water supply , go figure , remember just sip wine , or beer Ken lol👍❤️❤️❤️🙏
Hello sir, Portugal is my dream country,, l am a construction worker. I know agriculture because l work own land in my country, please give me a job offer
Fernanada does not drink alcohol!! And this drink will make chest hair grow!!!???
Costa, what a sweet and helpful man… a country man with many trades and many stories.
For the most I like your videos. But I noticed something: very often you don’t help a lot, even in your own farm. I could be wrong. I hope you learn from these amazing people. These skills will be gone in the future.
Also, try to learn Portuguese if you are planning to live there, it will
make your life much easier.
The cloud shots are wonderful. I love your videos,Ken and Gina. I’ve learned so much about Portugal farm life. I love it,thank you.
Thanks for your vid 😇💟💟💟 Love you guys. interesting process.
Your neighbor is a master moonshiner.
Jams Ken. Parastatal.
That was fascinating – homemade moonshine lesson #1. Duly noted 🙃
Enjoyed seeing Costa's brewing skills. Aguardente in moderation will do wonders for ones health. Your respect for your neighbours comes thru in your videos. Good show. Cheers 🥂
That aguardente will definitely put hairs on your chest , 😊
Very interesting, always wanted to know about distilling the old way.
So lucky you are! Having this elderly gentleman to teach and show you all this knowledge. Regards Rickard from Sweden 🇸🇪
