Gina is going back to visit her family in the UK, but first she needs to jump through all of the hoops of the travel restrictions, Covid tests etc. Our friends Theo & Bee from The Indie Project have just tested positive for Covid! We head over to theirs to drop off a care package and make sure they are alright. Back on our farm we discover a bunch of pine processionary caterpillars which are very dangerous for pets so we dispose of them in the best way we can.
We hope you enjoy the episode. Thanks for watching. See you all again next week ❤
We are Ken & Gina and we left the UK in 2019 in search of a simpler life away from our office jobs and the hustle and bustle of the big city. We sold our house, left the UK and left the Rat race behind us to move to Portugal and buy a farm. We found an amazing farm in Castelo Branco Central Portugal where we have lived for the last two and a half years.

Love your farm channel, just recently started watching. Just curious, does Gina not let you drive 🙂 Cheers.
Sparrow or( pardal) in Portuguese!
❤
I enjoyed seeing the little sparrow on your table. Hope you both have a nice holiday even if you are not together.
Those caterpillars freak me out. We get tent caterpillars here in the fall. The nests look similiar, but they are more gross than anything else. Safe trip for Gina. 🙂👍👍👍
Why don't you chop down the pine trees ??? Obviously once the caterpillars die off… Re plant with oaks or cork trees?
I felt itchy watching those caterpillars.
Have a great time with your family Gina.
Don’t you have a gas burners
I will just burn it there on the spot.
We just came home and Alex and I got absolutely mauled by these caterpillars. We are ‘bitten’ from head to toe. Alex’s face is really bad.
The litle bird is a sparrow. name "Pardal" in Portuguese.
I thought all these tests had been stopped!!!….You're very brave! Nice to see inside a Portuguese Lidl…would make an interesting vlog to see what sell in Lidl there….
Great vlog guys❤️not too many beers when Gina's away Ken!!
I was informed that there is some sort of shot you can give the pine trees every year so the caterpillars don't nest there. Cheers!
Eww gross. What can be done with all the cotton candy nests?? Happy to hear you are taking care of Bee and Theo. I hope Gina had a good visit with her family. 4 days seems so short.
Hugs from 🇨🇦
It gets so confusing dealing with YouTube "time". I see Theo limping out for the care package on your vid and then on the dame day catch him in the snow in Iceland on his. Oh, the "magic".
I watch several of Youtube channels of Expats in Portugal. Why are so many people coming down with the virus, did you guys all attend the same party?
You are good friends delivery a care package. Take care.
It is a house sparrow. We have the same fellows every Spring in California making a racket outside our window trying to attract the females to check out their bachelor pad situated in the tiles of the roof of the building next to ours. The males have black markings on their chests. Been watching them for years. I am always happy to see them. Best when you see the chicks leave the nest.
Gina enjoy your trip home, Ken enjoy your braai. Nice of you both to keep an eye on Theo and Bee.
Have a wonderful trip home Gina 💜
Have a good holiday Gina.
Not good digging them up should burn them where they are and they are pine caterpillars.
These caterpillars look a bit different than the pine processionary caterpillars typical in Portugal. The processionaries have hairs in tufts while these hairs look evenly distributed. Also these here have a darker line along the back. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FlYGfg-jy8U
Final destination was one crazy movie.
yes, those are pine caterpillars. Be carefull with the dogs.
We burn those creepy in The US
I understand your concern with your animals. But why did you have to kill the caterpillars? I'm all for safety, but I wasn't happy that they were taken from their own habitat and killed. Yes it's just a worm, I get that, but still.
Hey Ken, what is it you call your outdoor grilling session?
Enjoy your trip Gina. Ken enjoy you Braai and beer. Take care.
Gena have lovely break 🇮🇪❤️
Have a nice family reunion Gina…Ken will have his braai party🥳
Were is your masks for protection, don't put that in the garbage, very irresponsible
The caterpillars were probably about to burrow underground, that´s why they were all together. You could build little bird houses, to attract "chapins", natural predators. 😉
The birdie is an LBJ (Little Brown Job!!)!! 😄😄😄 Jokes aside think it's a sparrow. Currently still in SA but hoping my move to Portugal will be a reality by April.
💕GINA HAVE A SAFE JOURNEY💕Very interesting💕Do those caterpillars turn into is it something💕I hope your friends Theo & Bee are ok💕
Another great video from the coolest couple on Youtube Ken and Gina😎😎 . So nice of you to be helping your friends Theo and Bee. Gina, Safe Travels and safe Healthy! Sending you lots of love

I thought Bee and Theo were in Ice land?
Oh God Gina 😱 my nose was burning again, just to see you being tested. Here in Tenerife I pushed the nurse away the first time (several times actually) and in Portugal I broke the thing were you put your arms on the chair (sorry I forgot the name of it) 🙈😅🙈 Ken says he is going to party with beer and steaks, but I'm sure he is going to miss you 😉 those catapilars are a pain…
Hi, hello injoy the rest of this Sunday and new week, all the best to all.
In Canada we call them English or House Sparrows (though they are actually a kind of finch)
Damn it I tested positive last night, the only thing I have is sore throat, my wife had it for a few days but in my case I was helping my brother-in-law early in the morning and I wasn’t dressed for the occasion and was really cold, got sore throat and when I got home took me several hours to get warm again. Doing the PCR test today to make sure. Can you use a torch and burn the caterpillars?
Vidéo top 🇺🇲
Please stop sticking Antifreeze up your noses unless you have taken in what antifreeze actually is registered as and what it does to the body being a carcinogen and you don;t mind, that should then be clear why it hurts in the second nostril and why they want it to damage the blood brain barrier during a genocide , please know your enemy is your government , these things are all by consent only ❤🌟
put on a face shield or goggles and mask when handling the caterpillars, their hairs are pretty bad for human eyes and throat, specially if its breazy or windy, they could get you even when they are afr from you. at least that what tehy said here in the netherlands
