  1. Bribing can only get you so far….until money is not a issue anymore and you're affecting too many livelihoods.

Whoever the developer was paying off for permits definitely knew the entire time this plans gonna create a future problem…

Kept the money. Digicel chip tun off now.

  2. Hopefully they are ordered to knock it down. Imagine being the neighbour: privacy gone, noise pollution, air pollution, water issues I'm sure. It's really a disgrace. Not sure what quality of life these developers were exposed to, but this……

  3. If it is not in writing it is not enforceable, let the Developer show his authority and we can go from there, if he had approval then let it stand if not, the law will take effect

  4. The Design is all over the place, perfect for deception, this is a monstrosity, fire everybody at KSAC and Town planning NOW! "Guest house". LOOK! All the trees are GONE.

  5. Don't come for me but I think some misundersrand the basic protection of the law. It’s not about badmind. You have your home, your yard which was nice, airy and private and you end up with a large building overlooking your yard. 50 pairs of eyes staring at you when you hang out you washing, a big shadow across your home where you use to get sunlight and catch a breeze now making your house dark in the daytime, no privacy when you invite family and friends, all now covered up by a big tall wall with dozens of windows. You probably end up with a little more noise too with increased neighbours next to you rather than one family unit. If the plot is larger not a problem but these developments are very close. Just my 2 cents.

  6. The government give permit for one thing and they build something else. Imagine some emergency and thr authorities using the blueprint they submitted and a first responders get killed because they meet up on something different

  7. Easy fix – (1) Call the press. (2) Sell tickets. (3) Put the wrecking ball in motion – Message sent/Problem solved: No more unscrupulous developer looking to badmind your neighborhoods.

  8. Sorry but I think they should tear them all down! Rules are rules they need to follow them. Like I said before if everyone keeps doing the same thing what do you think is going to happen. Then know the consequences.

  9. Where ignorance is bliss, it is folly to be wise. Follow the god damn rules period. This was a deliberate move on the part of the developer because like the corrupt individual he is. He thought he would be able to bribe his way through. it is the small things Jamaica

  10. A nice area like that, they don't have code enforcement? I mean before he even started putting up the building? Now he got to demolish it. they could have stopped it even in the beginning what a damn shame smh.

  11. Now u don't care how big these officials need to hard and these people. I should be push down. A law should be in place as well if it deem structural unsafe after a section remove all have to go.

  12. It's easy for people with nothing to say tear it down . Misery loves company . Instead of saying fine them or force them to resubmit application, the solution is destroy it. The argument about law and order is funny as Jamaica is literally one of the most lawless countries in the world . As a developer myself I hope that a settlement can be reached .
