Finally – Concrete poured The Hard Way | metal frame Set on Old Stone House Ready for Roofing #78

Blimey this was a tough one. Ring beam and framework are all set and boy are we relieved. Definitely the toughest job on this house and it has been playing on our minds for sometime. The old stone walls with lime render falling off made this so much more tricky.
Still got a lot to do but now we can start enjoying bring this Abandoned house back to life.
Thanks for all your support and comments.

  1. Well done guys, team work.
It's so nice when it all comes together and everyone works in unison. Right gear in the right place at the right time!
Almost like having a third arm 😊

  2. You can take prepared mustard to help with the cramps. The kind you use on sandwiches, just take a tablespoon of it hold it under your tongue for a bit then swallow it will take the cramping away immediately. For how you are sweating and working its common to lose some potassium. This will cause the cramping. 2 to 3 tablespoon of mustard will help. I am glad you are better from the scorpion 🦂 bite.

  3. Very entertaining but this is some hard graft if ever I saw it. I look for it every week. And fascinating to see this old wreck take shape. I hope it's a great success; you all deserve it. Pls take care, some of it looks pretty dangerous. All the very best from northern Florida USA, where it is also 90f daytimes but with crashing thorms every night to cool us down. Be safe, be happy.

  4. Good on you all. Team work wins every time. Tip though, having grown up and worked for a while in Northern Australia, try watered down sports drink powder if you can get it. Helps with the cramping and thirst.

  5. Great job on that concrete work. I’ve seen a lot of the same bucket concrete work in Mexico on comercial building. The big difference is that they use 5 gallon buckets. Not to take any credit away from you guys. Congratulations

  6. Love it love it love it.
Teensy bit disappointed theres no Broons Line to hand up the cement . I giggled wondering if there were any jokey comments about the price doubling to pay for your efforts.

  7. Saved a few pennies; SAVED A LOT OF PENNIES! I'd do the same plus knowing that you CAN do it yourself, I did a renovation in my house all by myself and people were amazed and I felt fantastic that I could do that, well done to you guys, bravo!

  8. Hi Andrew, another brilliant video. I have noticed in our area of central Portugal that some builders build the ringbeam between tijolos thus saving the amount of concrete!

  9. wauw so inspiring to see if you put your mind to it you can do it yourself and you are not depending one workmen who don't do their job as good as they are expected to, well done Andy-team

  10. Ok when you step down from the hallway to the big room , I see blue window on the wall across, which is pretty high. What’s behind that ? I remember there’s part garage but is that the full length or just half? Also the part behind the garage is that connected to the garden or is there a house in between.?

  11. Massive,Massive manpower works. Respect to you all in this heat but it's showing you're commitment 👌. Glad you came true the pain from that little monster! So right about the scorpion imagen others or your dogs! Great video again boys.i am still amazed 👏 crack on to the next.

  12. I admire your choice , after all your are working for yourself . I wish it was not so hot for you but on the other hand the cement will set fast . It is so exciting to watching all this coming together . Admire all the trees in flowers , and yes l would kills all the scorpions that come to close to me and my pets , Especialy when you experience the pain , totally with you in that . Big hug to Berty and Willy , they are so sweet. I look for to the progress , it is nice to know that we are going to watch two houses being redone , love your videos , take care dear friend

  13. Electrolytes Man Electrolytes! Before during and after activity. I’ve had cramps that totally locked up my legs and arms after intense physical activity in very high temperatures. Eventually learned my lesson.

Project is really coming along and your you tube followers are happy for the ride I do not doubt. But I miss seeing the puppies springing, spronging and wallowing in the water holes. More of that later when the dust settles.😎
