id check the roads theres a website you can look at that shows daily updates on conditions on each road, we drove from the west to the east and some days had to stop the roads were literal ice sheets, had a few sketchy incidents 🙂

Looks like the Blue Lagoon have incorporated the face masks into the entrance fee – the silica used to be free and readily available in boxes dotted around the whole pool. I’m going in October and pre-booking is about £50 per person. It’s gone up quite a bit in the last ten years. Still a great place to go, although there are other, less touristy, free/cheaper hot pots, hot rivers and swimming pools to go to.

I love Iceland! I visited there three times in the 90s and always had a blast. Your assessment of Reykjavik is consistent with mine during my visits. It is not a busy city at all, especially considering it’s the capital. It always felt more like a town to me. Thanks for the zero travel restrictions update. I’m ready to return!

This is really good. We took our trip in december, for Christmas time. We didn't stay for New Year's and we understood that was a very loud time. We went to the Blue lagoon and even went to the restaurant. It was really nice. It was booked months ahead of time, as part of their package, in order to not get ripped off. I kind of got upset when I heard you guys got ripped off. I'm sorry. It's still with a very nice place. I intend to go back to Iceland for 4 or 5 days this summer, in the midst of all my other travels. I'm subscribing to your channel, too.

u suld try the loacal swimming pools 6 dollars a person and just as good or better then the blue lagoon

I recommend just going to a public swimming pool like Árbæjarlaug. They're all either partly or completely outdoor and a fraction of the price. You'll find yourself with Icelanders too instead of just other tourists.
