Shoutout to the mod developer King Jupiter making this mod. Here’s a link to their channel –
Today I am playing a Victoria II alt-history mod called Throne of Lorraine (just realized I messed up the spelling in the thumbnail my bad). This was one of the most interesting and painfully slow campaigns I’ve had in a while. Recording this was extremely time consuming and took over 2 weeks. Despite all the challenges and complaining I did about how you could form Byzantium I like this mod.
Since I recorded this there have many many small updates to the mod that fixed some of these bugs and the beta releases today (3/5/2022) at 1:00pm EST so if you want to support the mod join this discord server:

The beta for this mod has been released. Go check out the Mod DB here: https://www.moddb.com/mods/throne-of-lorraine (also sorry for misspelling the mod name in the thumbnail I added it last minute)
16:00 Olivença. Portugal is still waiting for Spain to give that province back
The name Spain was meant to encompass Castile, Aragon, and Portugal. Spain = Hispania
hate to ask how do you donlond a mod of this game
No se si leerás esto ya que eres inglés pero podrías hacer un speedrun de formar Rumanía con todos sus cores pls
Finally, someone who hates formable Byzantium as much as I do.
I felt before now like I was in the twilight zone – the last sane man on Earth, but now I see I am not alone!
thanks
can't wait for more of your videos, theyre great
What mod lets you see the general stats at a glance? I've seen it on a few of your videos.
Smooved, my looooong thoughts on this Video are done now, if you want delete this message later
I am glad you had fun and I hope you'll play it again soon, but please… next time warn us and we can tell you if there are currently bugs that need quick fixing before you start a campaigne, its what a WIP mod does after all and check out my thought son the Video in the comment (perhaps pin it too *wink*)
Finally someone made a video of this mod, thanks
2:21 no, not 200 years but like, 400 years
The roman empire exile in Africa is actually historical to a point as there were expeditions sent to lake chad by the Romans
You are alive!!!!
well, the fact that olivenza exists its because originally it was a portuguese territory, but in napoleonic wars spain got it from portugal, but after napoleon was gone, they didn't give it back formally, so its just a spanish territory since them even through they should have given it back in the vienna congress or something
the flag is kinda cool, but the color its pure garbage, a blue color would be much better
Finally another smooved video
You’re right about province sizes and life rating, they basically use it to make the game way more Eurocentric. Same with institutions and tech groups in EU4, or westernization in Vic2
Everyone knows that in Vic if you want a GP's core, you better completely decapitate that GP or they become a constant pain in the backside.
laughed so hard 19 minutes in oml
cheers to the mod creator this shit funny as fuck
Okay, I love how you hate dumb formables like Byzantium, Caliphate and stuff BUT romans in West Africa was a real possibility in real history. Romans actually had 5 known expeditions into subsaharan Africa. So they can establish new trade routes and maybe conquer here and there(they actually tried to conquer Nile river upstream) but many of this expeditions did not made any big impact like conquest. It was just trade and maybe establishing some roman outposts. Keep in mind roman coins were found as south as Nigeria(that does not mean romans were present in Nigeria it just means there might be a trans saharan trade during Roman Empire).
This is an alt-his mod so imho it's not out of touch to add a roman state.
