Recently I was joined by part of the team from Bordr.io on an adventure to try some of Portugal’s best Franchesinhas and to try and figure out which we liked more. The Portuguese Franchesinha is an absolute monster of a sandwich, meat more meat, cheese and more cheese and then drenched in sauce. It may look intense, but a good Franchesinha will get you hooked from the first bite! Porto Portugal is the “home” of the Franchesinha, but Braga Portugal is the home of a refreshed version of what was once a French delight. During my time living in Portugal, I can say I’ve had quite a few of these delectable sandwiches and have already found my favorite places. But as someone who is living in Braga, I can say I’m grateful to have access to these specialty restaurants in both cities. If you’re a meat lover then this is definitely the sandwich for you!
