Beijinos e abraços,
Carissa, Iwan, Frankie & Albi

Carissa, Iwan & Frankie decided one night over a bottle of wine that moving from North Wales to Portugal would be a good idea. Within a month they were on the road to Portugal to find the perfect piece of land to call their new home. We picked up Albi the cat along the way. Subscribe to follow our journey as we turn an old stone barn into our home, and learn the ropes of looking after a piece of land to make an abundant garden and one day, our very own winery.

  1. Oh I'm excited to see your liights!! My girlfriend sent me one and I LOVE it. When I asked where she got it she couldn't remember and I'd like to get more. BTW when I want to use it during the day I just lay the panel down (or cover it so it's dark. Hehe)

  2. Love the kitchen do over. Just thinking from a practical point of view for the back splash behind the cook top. It won’t be white for long unless you make it washable. Ie water proof it.

  3. Your kitchen looks lovely , well done .
An idea could you use the small holes for cutlery ? Maybe buy/make a wooden pull out tray ? Different hole for each cutlery type .
    Enjoy your beautiful home xx

  4. Your kitchen and flowers in your garden with birds singing is in background are absolutely beautiful and amazing! I love that happiness in you that waits for 9 months to get belly button flower to put in kitchen! Bravo!

  5. "Sensitive plant, (Mimosa pudica), also called humble plant, plant in the pea family (Fabaceae) that responds to touch and other stimulation by rapidly closing its leaves and drooping. Native to South and Central America, the plant is a widespread weed in tropical regions and has naturalized elsewhere in warm areas. It is commonly grown as a curiosity in greenhouses." from Britannica. You might find that this plant is not a good one to have around.

  6. Little baskets for herb / spice jars I keep little basil pesto jars soak labels off and 6 or 8 in a basket would be nifty lovelies looks very retro cubism light is amazing 👍❤️❤️❤️🙏
