  1. G’day Doug and Monique
Canada – looks like the North Pole

The land of Igloos, polar bears and ice fishing
    Hope you are keeping warm.
Prefer the warm blue ocean of Madeira and 65degrees
Thanks for sharing, I need to go and drink a hot chocolate
    Cheers

    Andrew and Monica

  2. That is some serious snow!! So beautiful though! I remember having to shovel every week sometimes when the snow fell in Colorado. It is almost hard to believe I went without my jacket for part of last night haha 🎉

  3. I have to say you have one of the best "Life Recipe's" I've seen in a long time. Though I suspect as long as you two have each other, anywhere you live would be a winner! All the best and Happy New Year!

  4. Merry Christmas Doug and Monique and your boys!🎉🎉🎉 You are in your twenties when playing and dancing on the ice. Haha , love this video, full of joy and happiness. 😅

  5. i have two questions for you. 1. when I'm ready to move to Portugal and i ship over my belonging. where do i pick them up at? do they go to my address? 2. if i have a place in Portugal. can i live in my rental while my attorney is processing my paperwork or do i need to wait till my visa goes through? thanks for your time

  6. Although there can be snow in Madeira, it only happens over the high mountains, therefore, not a chance of skiing or ice ringing, but in contrast with Canada, you might get -10 in Pico Ruivo or Areeiro, then down by the coast + 10 or more, but I have to say, Canada is such a beautiful and diverse Country, that not even freezing cold winter will be able to destroy such reputation, if anything, it adds into it.
Enjoy your Christmas in North America, from a wet and cold England UK.

  7. It is wonderful to see you guys doing this video and showing Canadian content and the frigid weather with sudden storms we get. Love the Tim Hortons segment.
All the best. Happy Holidays and all the best to you gurs your family.

  8. Merry Christmas! We have enjoyed watching your videos and, given the current weather in Ottawa, we are looking forward to jetting off to Funchal for a month long stay starting mid February.

  9. Merry Christmas to you both. Enjoy your time with family, friends, and the Canadian winter. I know Al (alyt999) has also sent you a comment, so I'm going to piggyback on that and say… ditto. Barb

  10. Merry Christmas to both of you! I loved the obrigado at the Tim Hortons. That made us laugh. You continue to be an inspiration to us. We're fortunate enough to actually be in Funchal this Christmas and are very happy to be missing the Calgary deep freeze! As a side note, you did a really good job with the editing of the video Doug. Nicely done! Have an awesome time back home over the holidays.

  11. I've gotten lucky with my location in Southern Oregon, USA. Far enough south to avoid the intense cold and just north of the area affected by the recent earthquake in Humboldt County, California. Thanks for all you great work!

  12. Feliz Natal Doug & Monique! Good to see your boys. Nice job on this video, showing the weather contrast between Canada and Madeira. A Winter Wonderland is a fun place to visit… Thank you for all these great videos. Have a blessed New Year!

  13. Are you guys crazy!!!…. Hahaha… Wishing I'm in Madeira now while Chicago is – 14 Celsius and windchill is – 27.
Anyways Happy Holidays to you D and M and your family! Stay safe out there. Your videos keep getting better and better! Congrats!
