My parents are from Northern Mexico too, mostly Chihuahua
It's known that Sephardic jews founded many towns and cities in Northern Mexico and were responsible in bringing in ships of Sephardic families to Mexico in order to save them from Iberia and their cruelty against them. There's testimonies of the Sephardic jews in Mexico, their lives here, how they would get burned to death by the Vatican when they wouldn't convert, how they had to hide their religion, and also how 30% of the white population in Mexico was of Jewish origin in the colonial era.
Also it doesn't matter that you submit writing in English? You don't have to write things in Portuguese or Español?
I see you used Ancestry. Can you use FamilySearch for this too?
