Joaquim is back with his awesome Ford tractors to prepare our farm for its winter cover crop. This year we are growing 8 different varieties of clover and some oats. The clover will help to put nitrogen back into the soil organically without the use of chemical fertilizers.
We are Ken & Gina. 2.5 years ago, we got fed up with paying a mortgage and having to work boring office jobs just to keep our heads above water! We decided to take a big chance, sell everything, and buy a motorhome, which we used to drive our remaining belongings and our pets to Portugal. We bought a beautiful farm in Central Portugal where we live with our 3 dogs, 2 cats and a bunch of other farm animals. Every week we release new episodes of our Portugal Farm Life where you can get an inside look at how we live, on and around the farm, and adapt to the challenges of our new lives.

Preparing the fields for winter, lovely to see the changes, and so good to have some rain 👍

Call your rooster Reuben after Reuben "Rooster" Cogburn ( John Wayne ) in True Grit. Greetings from Hamburg
Hi guys. Joaquim is such a character. I love watching him. Should name your new 🐓🐓 rooster after him. Hugs
Good for Joaquim! – the rhythm of the seasons is always exciting. And when Nando II discovers there are worms out there, he'll soon be joining the ladies. All the best for the week ahead….Nx
Olá Ken, que felicidade Chuva💦💦 e Sr. Joaquim é realmente um excelente vizinho, trabalhador e muito simpático. Abraços do Rio de Janeiro.
Hi, chuvinha, ate que emfim!! Yay. Mr J. is so industrious it is quite amazing and a charming helpful man. You have a great friendship. X:)
"long sleeved trousers"?
You need an Aussi hat with dangling corks for the 🪰😉 How about Nelson as a name for the cockerel?
Do Joaquim and folks in the area watch your videos with Portuguese subtitles?
I think Joaquim needs a YouTube channel, lol. I'd subscribe…
You are so blessed to have a neighbor that utilizes your land properly! Great video! Sending love to Gina and you Ken! Keep warm as winter arrives!
He did say that he was going to bury when he comes back. Word that he used was enterrar. He tries very hard to talk in a matter for you to understand. People of the land have a way of understanding other's needs.
This planting is also keeping the soil in good health.
You hit the the jackpot with that man joaquim treasure that man there are not many of them left is knowledge is priceless forca joaguim voce e uma reliquia obrigado por existir neste mundo viva lusitano muita saude learn has much from this knowledgeable human being
I did v much enjoy this video… somehow i can watch aerials Joachim working the land with his tractor and with your cool bossa nova tunes in the background — very calming and satisfying. Good to see Gina, and hope Nandos the 2nd is feeling more and more at home. Snuggles to all your fur kids.
Great timing! Joaquin knows his stuff. I’m sure Nando 2 will soon be out and about. Can’t wait to see the “green”. Ken, do you hear anything from South Africa concerning the political situation?
Love your fig tree!!
what type of fruit is that on the tree that is yellow and lying on the ground?
love those aerial views. Thanks for sharing.
Hi. Already i can see the end result of that seeding. Is a nice and delicious cheese from Soalheira. Nice.
eline emeğine sağlık bu güzel vlog için kolay gelsin hayırlı işler….👍👍👍👍
