A child who was reported missing in 2019 when she was 4 years old was found hidden under a wooden staircase with her noncustodial mother, in a home officials had visited several times while investigating her disappearance, authorities said.
The child, Paislee Joann Shultis, now 6, was reported missing on July 13, 2019, from Cayuga Heights, a village on the outskirts of Ithaca, New York. At the time, she was believed to have been abducted by her noncustodial parents, Kimberly Cooper and Kirk Shultis Jr., police said in a news release.
Paislee and her mother were found Monday when investigators spotted “a pair of tiny feet” in a secret space under wooden steps leading to a basement.

Believe me any parents will do the same if their kid token from them
Shoot all the evil people involved. Simple. Let the child be in a normal family 👍
Something is very wrong with your English CC1 subtitles on this video. Just FYI
Best case scenario for a child being kidnapped. It’s just from your parents, and they wanted her so bad they will now go to jail for along time. This is not a feel good story but it is… it’s an interesting case.
These were her biological parents lol… not some random kidnapper …. Did the parents handle this situation poorly there’s no doubt about that… but she was under the steps hiding from her grandmother who had custody of her. And hiding from the cops when they came to check up on them. The whole family needs to handle their responsibilities better that’s obvious. But this doesn’t seem like a case where she was living under those steps this whole time lol… I pray they get everything worked out so they all can be a family and create loving memories together grandparents included. 🤍
Headline is a fucking clickbait. She wasnt made to live under the staircase, she was hidden there when the police arrived. Looks like the parents want custody. This is also not the same as elizabeth, not even close
Lmao (TURN ON THE CAPTIONS ) to this vid
"Paislee"…a name like that is abuse in and of itself.
Why didn't her natural parents have custody?
What is the context? This is poor reporting.
I live and work in/near this. I know some of the neighbors and people who know them. No one apparently had any idea.
Hopefully, due to covid, she has not suffered much. They probably used covid as an excuse as to why she could not go out. People are crazy.
I’m pretty pissed at the cops here. A kid being with their non-custodial parent is the easiest abduction case in the world to solve. I have trouble believing they couldn’t have gotten a warrant sooner. I hope the kid wasn’t sleeping under the stairs like Harry Potter with the blankets down there.
She was with her parents. Elizabeth Smart has no saying on this. Is completely different.
Fick social services.
She was in good condition says the Police, kidnapped by her family. Hmmm CNN
What a disgusting pathetic sickening world we live in, being a mother myself can't imagine. My son is of same age. Myyy God bless the baby. 😪😪😪😪😪
They just hid her there from loosing her, she was with her parents. hope they help family . media blowing story for hype little girl not confused she was with her parents. Ms Smart should have said that her story and this girl completely different. She played it up fo the hype.
Let's agree that Smarts situation was vastly different and her experience is her own.
I don't believe they even kept her under their constantly maybe it was just a hiding spot for when strangers came by,I'm not trusting the news a lot of times government takes kids from parents and they didn't really want to lose them ,sometimes they actually love their kids but their lives are messed up,pray for them they may not be horrible ppl
I dont think they intend to hurt her she was probably ripped from them and they wanted her back so they took her away and hid her
She was playing hide and seek and found a REAL good spot? Or did I hear that wrong?
why was she not in her parents custody?
Damn! that's right around Rip Van Winkle camp grounds, these trump supporters are crazy i tell you!
Something about this don't sound right since 2019 under the stairs how did she make it I'm more than sure somebody knew that baby was there I'm so happy she was found I wish all the best for her 🤢
