Last week’s heat wave through Europe had me roasting in my apartment. Portugal was blazing literally and figuratively. I’ve spent two years in my apartment without air conditioning with no problems. But last week, my laptop starting wheezing like she was going to have an asthma attacked so I had to find a hotel or risk my laptop exploding.⁣

It’s prime seasons so prices are crazy and I had no desire to stay in the city. I jumped on @bookingcom and found this hotel not far from my apartment and I was quite impressed. It was basically a fully stocked apartment. How did I not know about this place?⁣

The hotel staff the MS Apart Hotel were super kind, but if you want to be close to the city and attractions this may not be the hotel for you. It’s about 20 minutes outside of the city. It’s super quiet and just perfect for me. If you are driving and visiting Portugal and want something quiet and out of the city you might want to check it out. ⁣

PS- I don’t know much about hotels here because I have an apartment. Hotels weren’t sustainable lodging for an immigrant so I don’t have many recommendations in this area. But when I find a gem or two, I like to let you know.
