My birthday is on secular Aug 2 ;Jewish calendar 11Av ; born on Shabbos at 10AM. The parsha was Deuteronomy 3-7 which includes the Shma and many other important details.
My life started as Catholic and as I got older I found out that my maternal and paternal heritage was Jewish. I have the records and Vatican lists of their names and their deaths being burned at the stake or property taken from them during the Spanish Inquisition in Palermo Sicily in 1530-60. Over 50 relatives at that time. My grandmother always said they were Jews from Spain and then immigrated to Russia hence her maiden name Russo and eventually came to America in 1900. After years of study (I always considered Rabbi Pinson my teacher through his books), I returned them to Judaism to correct a wrong indeed. The Beit Din Rabbi declared me jewish and I follow now in the manner appropriate to my life. So if you ever think destiny fulfillment is not part of your birth day then think again It’s only in retrospect one can see all the connections. And celebrating a good life to just be alive here in this world is worth every minute of celebrating.
But I think the way the Rabbi weaved this story into the space of time pulling us into the narrative of the future arrival of the Moshiach arrival THAT was for me a birthday gift of understanding that God in His infinite wisdom does indeed care about us and it’s so good to see His presence in all aspects of our world. Thank you Rabbi. Happy birthday to you and happy Shabbos to all of you. 💕

Very interesting. Then why would Sefer Yetzira say that not only the day of your birth but hour and second all have influences on you. Can these two ideas be coordinated?
Good clear speech and audio. Finally!!
