He has left me alone on a mountain in Portugal, which is nice.

My first vlog alone with the girls on a mountain in Portugal.
Getting the girls Lola and Foffy more comfortable and used to being in a safe, consistent and loving environment and seeing them feel more settled around me.
Many thanks to our good friends Awen and Dave from @portugalmuse8430 for looking after us and our wonderful neighbours Teresa and Nelo for their continued friendship and support and of course each and every one of you guys who have supported this effort to make two dogs lives happier and healthier, thank you,

  1. I like your natural way of making a vlog. Your showing the need to get wood for the burner to get warm and be able to work let's the viewer feel the reality of life. No romanticised nonsense for city dwellers!

  2. Lovely video Sarah. You and Nick do a great job with your animals. I am sure living inn your little village with such nice neighbours makes you fell very safe. Crocheted blanket beautiful by the way. I am a real fan of your work.

  3. I think you are safer in portugal than UK. Neighbours are more than friendly, they are caring in portugal. Great vlog, lovely doggies x4. Cats are cute.
I guess you have enough to keep you busy Sarah, you won't have time to feel lonely. Keep warm. ❤

  4. A very relaxing enjoyable video! ❤ I love that you cooked the chilli on the woodstove. So far we’ve just boiled the kettle on ours but I’ll eventually get around to cooking something on it. Love the yoga pants with the 🐾 😍 I think I need a pair. The only 🐾 I have on my clothes are from dirty feet when the kitties come in from the rain. 😳

  5. Hello, dear Sarah. It is so good to see the love you and your husband have for your animals. You have told your viewers about your dog's previous owner who had mistreated them, and once on the subject the idea that people in Portugal do not care much about cats and dogs was passed on,as there are so many strays. That is partly true but the opposite is also true. As you probably know these last days there have been some heavy rains in the Lisbon area. Oeiras is a city nearby where the local council provides for the welfare of cats. There is a colony of cats in the municipal garden. The council pays for their neutering and those cats are kept in cages in a special place in this garden while they recover from the surgery. Now, these two ladies who look after them started worrying about the weather, about possible floods and went there in the middle of the night to have a look. In fact the cats in the lower cages were already under the water and the ones in the upper rows were trying to keep their heads above it. The two ladies had to step in that room with the water reaching their waists, trying to feel the submerged cats so they could pull them out, getting scratched and fearing for their lives at some point due to the force of the water. They managed to save all the cats, they were pleased to announce. The "bombeiros" came to their rescue in the end, because one of them had got severe wounds in her leg and hand.As you can see the lack of feelings for animals some people have are compensated by the love of others.
I also enjoyed seeing Nick in England, strolling along the beach with yor two other dogs.
Happy Christmas and may the new year fulfill all your dreams.
    Love Filipa

  6. It was so lovely to see how patient you were Sarah, with the little black kitty and how well your two furry friends have settled in. Indeed, the vets fees are so reasonable in Portugal, compared to the UK, where they can be extortionate.
The local bread man reminded me of when I lived in a small welsh village where the weekly bread van man also sold lots of other foodstuff as well as lots of other things too. Mind you, that was 40 years ago, lol. Things have changed a lot xx

  7. You did a great job, Sarah! I enjoyed watching your vlog. I purchased a small condo in Sao Martinho do Porto on the Silver Coast. Presently I live in the San Francisco Bay Area. I'm getting my condo here ready to rent. Can't wait to be living in Portugal!

  8. I think you look well protected with 2 doting doggos. And a clutch of kitties. I was trying to alliterate🙃. I had a kitty just like that little black one. If he got upset; going to the vet for the annual thing, he would spit nails for a few hours then it would become safe to kiss his furry little tummy again. At least you have a nice neighbor nearby. It's nice to have some down time. You did good on the vid.🙂👍👍🌲🇨🇦🐕🐕❤

  9. Great video Sarah, your pack is just wonderful and I love your chit chat with them all.
We are away for a week with our dog and my husband commented that he hadn’t realised how much I natter to the dog and how he responds to me! He thought it was rather lovely! I’m soo glad I’m not the only one🤣
    Take super care, Laura xx

  10. Hi Sarah, enjoyed your vlog.
How lovely to have a wood burner and cook your food on top, great energy saving and so cosy and warm. You have your furry babies for company and great guard dogs. Hope you are joined by Nick soon.
Do you have any other deliveries to your village, apart from the bakers van?
