The story of Duque’s Villa began in 1949 with the construction of this beautiful building in one of the oldest districts of Lisbon. In it lived the heir of the Portuguese throne if we still lived in a monarchy – the Duke of Bragança – who lived his youth in this house. 70 years later, what was once the residence of a King without a crown, is today a a totally renewed guesthouse composed by 8 independent luxury suites, which we named Duque’s Villa in order to keep the property’s story alive.
Keeping the original architectural layout of the facade, the interior of Duque’s Villa was carefully refurbished to maintain the original wooden floors and window coverings, the high ceilings and the impressive staircase. All apartments are designed to enjoy a privileged view of the Tagus River and the spacious garden that surrounds the property.
