Having lived thru several of these in Southern California, I know just how terrifying and destructive these fires can be. I hope the people stay safe. Too many where I lived tried to stay and save their homes, and paid with their lives. Don't do it people.

How about they have the equipment on standby when the season hits.
Most of the time these fires break out and it takes literally hours to respond with aircraft.
I was in Portugal some years ago and they called in aircraft from Spain to deal with it.
Ridiculous that every year there's a risk of fire and yet they are never prepared.

Since there is Satellite's in Space capable of viewing Earth 24/7 on monitors then they can pinpoint the very area, time and day it started.
But we never hear or see that information…I wonder why ?
Considering NASA has satellite camera's that can view deep space and find new planets.
There is also Laser equipment that can be beamed from Space to Earth to create such Fires.
