My Brazilian friends would pronounce "Pingo Doce" the way you did. I was surprised to hear English-speaking expats in Portugal pronounce "Pingo Doce" as if it were "Pingo Dose" on their videos here, and assumed they were doing it wrong…until I watched videos on the official Pingo Doce channel. I don't hear that final "e" at all.

Also, by booking a few weeks in advance, my wife and I traveled in Turistica class on the AP train from Lisbon to Porto and returned for under €64 total for both round trips, which to me was an amazing deal.

Tip: when pronouncing Portugal in a native way, try "Purtugal" with the first "u" as in "fool".

I am portuguese, and i understand you saying that it is cheap, but never forget that when the prices are 30-80% cheaper here, we recieve a lot less than other countries, the minimum salary is still 750€ and you normally don't recieve much more than that in most jobs.
