  1. I think you might be considered to be farmers or doing agricultural stuff so you should talk to Alex about how to get the fuel discount card. It's a real faff apparently and took a long time but he said he thought it was definitely worth it!

  2. That's not bad considering! Loved this, for the future! He is so funny. Sarah, I cut my own hair to, but with a cosmetology scissors and not waking at it. I cracked up laughing. My family hates that I cut my own hair!! And there's a hair cut place is about 1.75 miles from home. LOL. 🙏❤🇺🇸🇵🇹⛵👣😊

  3. Very good info! Ya know, if we consider how prices of fuel, every living thing's food, building materials, etc., have risen so much… altho your yearly exornditures have increased by 700€, you probably spent less money than previous years!

I think it's bc of the infrastructure you and your blessed volunteers, put in to date, having a flourishing garden, and your ongoing + increased conservation efforts with energy/fuel, etc. You HAVE had more visitors, you DO have more animals. Had prices not risen so steeply, i think you expenditures might have been less than previous years 😳.

Speaking of transformation, i saw in Iwan & Carissa's boulder excursion video how after the long drive along the public track that your place appears like a hidden oasis saying "Bem Vindo" before we even see its sign: your cheery house, well-cared-for and lush garden<–no easy feat in your intense summers, and outdoor crafting studio. As your projects with Dirk realize, well… the sky's the limit with you two. So proud of and inspired by all you nurture and accomplish. Grand job, Luke and Sarah 🤗💖.

  4. well you use a lot less on food soap etc. than I do… expensive here… and no garden so no "help" with "free food" from the garden… but thats a good budget not extravagant but living a happy life 😀 with wonderful animals

  5. Not bad at all for a whole year's expenses, especially with you having many animals as well! I know I spend more money on my cat than myself, what with cat food, vet bills, pet insurance etc 😕 . But then, I AM his servant, after all 😁 🤔

  6. Thanks Luke and Sarah for sharing your yearly budget, I would say it's tempting to retire to portugal as UK a lot more expensive. Utilities alone are sky high. vet bills for my dog and cat have increased. Thanks for your tips. 💚

  7. I know this is a bit rude to ask, what about income, and income streams, I ask because,as I believe, I need a €10000 income pa for a d7 visa, I'm racking my brain, I understand if I can't share this, thank you

  8. wow thought off grid was cheaper!! keep going guys good luck me too sarah I dont go to the hairdressers either LOL too expensive but a tip it is tax deductable LOL!!! love your vids XXX😁

  9. I agree go shopping less in a month. I have our bulk food delivered, then once a week I get the odd thing.I have bulk shop, just in case… I eat more in the summer… in the winter I make lots of stews and casseroles, comforting food.
Who does the shopping ? Do you go and buy the animals food.
