If you apply for one country and don’t enter it first or have it as your longest stay, it’s likely that your next visa will be declined or won’t be multiple entry

What did you use for travel insurance?
So I had an issue with this first port of entry thing – my visa was issued my Spain but I decided to travel to France instead as a first port of entry to the Schengen area. At the airport the border control initially refused to let me (speaking in French), reason being I should go to Spain first. I went to a different counter and had no issues.
So it’s a tricky one!
