Getting residency in two different countries as a US citizen may not be as difficult as you think. We have gotten permanent residency in Mexico and just applied for residency in Portugal. We’re going to discuss 5 things you should consider if you’re going to try and do the same thing simultaneously….while abroad.

Guys, i am inspired by you guys very much and would love to relocate at some point. As well as getting some help with sorting out my finances so i can have a decent retirement
Nice neighborhood you got. About hot and cold days: your A/C works for cold and hot air depending your preferences. Almost all A/C sets installed for some time now work as heat pumps. It is the most efficient way to have some confort at home. Also the fact we do not have a central A/C sytem allows each room / flat to be independently adjusted. Speaking about laundry stuff: check if your washing machine is or is not a washer and dryer unit combo. If not you can always opt for one of those. People uses to hang up their stuff outside, because if you just dry your laundry inside you will not have the sun to desinfect it with UVs, Besides it is cheaper and less noisier not to use a dryer.
Me ha gustado mucho de veerlos en YT. Hasta pronto, sean felices y passen un buen dia los dos. Adiós
My husband and I truly enjoyed yesterday's Sunday live and are looking forward to learning more about the process to reside in Portugal. We could use information relative to contacting someone that can help us with the one year lease requirement- you mentioned Rossini? Also, confirming that Bordo,io??? is the contact for getting the NIF (tax ID) and setting up the bank /accounting information? How much was required from the bank to deposit?
Thank you, any information can be helpful. 😊
Hello… You guys are awesome….have you guys been to Africa? Specifically Kenya ?
I am enjoying listening to your videos. My wife and I pulled the trigger and moved to the Algarve reason on 4 months ago. We are waiting the final SEF appointment. Keep up the great videos.
uau! that apartment story was quite something 😊… well done on solving that problem! It is true we portuguese do sometimes drag our feet to get things done, but in case of emergency many times we will do everything and beyond to solve it. Your landlord does seem to be a good person, seems a normal portuguese contract! Felicidades!
Hello, thank you, thank you for all your videos and this one in particular. My husband and I want to do the same in about 2 yrs. Question, I did not see the link for the healthcare insurance you used. Also, have you priced the private healthcare in Portugal? I’m 57 and my husband is 64. We were just in Lisbon in May and met up with some of the Black in Portugal group! Great group! Hoping to return in 2023 as we will be starting the process of moving there in late 2024. Keep up the great work!
Happy Belated Birthday Halisi! Speaking it…congratulations on getting your residency in Portugal!!
Happy birthday 🎂
Hi, Halisi & Ric, how are you today ?
When you move to your new neighbourhood in Lisboa and if you want to buy dishware pots and pans on a good quality towards price you can allways check on Norteli shop wich is near by at Av. Almirante Reis / Rua do Forno do Tijolo, specialized in hotel stuff that anyone can buy. In this place you can get large variety, hotel quality, medium prices. For more fashion stuff you can go to Area in Amoreiras shopping center or Zara kitchen & houseware shop between Alameda and Praça de Londres. We also produce fine ceramics for tableware from Vista Alegre, Spal and Bordallo Pinheiro.
Best regards
The power of money. I am sure many black people would love to get those visas, but cannot afford it. No positive thinking or prayer can change that. No name and claim can change that. I am so tired of the silliness.
catching the replay. Thank you for showing us its possible to move abroad.
Hi nice people. Happy birthday to the young lady in first place. Following your 'live' I wonder if you check your file at the portuguese finance department to see if everything is correct (you need your NIF and password to acess the data) By the way NIF stands for Numero Fiscal de Contribuinte = personal taxpayer number). About speaking english: in early days quite a lot of people were spanish speakers. More educated people, at least high scholl graded, could easily speak french (5 years study) and english (3 years study). Today's young people starts learning english very early so it will be easy to interact with young people if you just speak english. Further, older people can undestand english but as they do not like to make mistakes (to young guys it does not matter), they just say they do not speak.
Aboutt transportation in Lisboa area: quite a lot of changes are ocurring right now. Free transportation for young and onder people, etc. Check at arrival.
As always, GREAT info!💯 Just finished watching the Replay! Two things – One, you were supposed to close with why you chose Portugal over Mexico! It would be a great "short" video (where it's a statement of like 30 seconds or so) and Two, I believe you can change your chat settings to allow only subscribers to make comments. Here subscribers of like one minute and up to any period of time you want. I noticed that many just say subscribers for one minute. That way the botts can't get in 😉
Loving your channel! My husband and I are planning a move to Portugal with our 4 kids (7,5,1,1). Your channel has really given us an extra push from contemplation to preparation!!
How are ya'all doing? Tuning in from London, Uk 🇬🇧
Good evening both and to all the other listeners💜💙🙏🏾
