Is the requirement an income from employment or income in general? For example, would income from dividends from abroad, or rental income from abroad qualify, so that it is taxed only in the country of origin?

Why does people want to move to Europe with taxes and all the mess when you have other countries with 0 tax??? I live in one of them.just womndering🤯Anyway everything is better then USA 🤪

I am British and currently hold a British and US passport and pay taxes in the US but since my business is now trading crypto I can not see myself retaining my US passport. I'm glad expats can enjoy tax benefits when moving to Portugal, just sad that a lot of Portuguese (including myself) are forced to move abroad because of the insane taxes that we are forced to pay…

The government unfortunately it's a joke, they refuse to decrease taxes for Portuguese and say that flat rates and lower taxes would be a disaster, but offer that kind of scheme to people from other countries to move to Portugal.

I'm happy that at least you guys and people from other countries can enjoy Portugal, just hope one day Portuguese can also enjoy Portugal as well

I just can't believe anyone's money is safe. Portugal can shift gears just like anyone else. The world moves closer to Global Governance and with that, the threat of losing economic sovereignty is too real.
