  1. It's called Crazy Cancer and it must be removed. When I did my big house rehab a few years back, the house had been badly renovated several times and anything that was weird, strange, or nonfunctional got DEMOLISHED. Good on you for getting rid of your house's Crazy Cancer.

  2. I am always excited when you find old newspaper. So to me, those are treasure. xD
But I get what you're saying. You should bury some coins or put a future pod somewhere. 🙂

  3. When you keep 1% of the old building, when it takes 10x more time and 10x more money than building from scratch but you can say it is worthed because you could film an epic serie on youtube.

  4. Heya love that DJ setup. You should maybe consider using a Powercon connector for your main power in. They lock together and can't be pulled out easily (ie: kicked out by an errant dance move) like an IEC.

  5. Ants? No need to find the nests, just use Borax and sugar mixture. Making a borax and sugar paste, soaking cotton balls in the paste, and placing them in strategic places will kill the whole colony of ants, termites, wasps, and many more insect pests. Borax is the same ingredient used in the professional insecticides, it needs to be mixed with something sweet so they take it to the queen and the rest of the colony.

  6. Most treasure hunters don't find good treasures because they are looking for it, but most treasures are found when you are not looking for it. So hold that thought Laura, a hidden treasure will reveal itself at some point.

  7. I'd make a clay-brick-oven outside with a ceramics-kiln dome on the back, and pizza oven with fire-box on the front, add a stately chimney: all the lumber you have there would be necessary to vitrify the bricks into a heated mass, and readied for back-yard use; firing inside and out, sustained overnight, takes a lot of wood-fuel.

  8. Just arrived in Wermelskirchen, after a 13 hour car trip from Romania. I'm staying in a 300 year old house with a structure just like Lizelote's. I can now better understand the strugles you're going through and why you want to save such a beautiful house.

  9. Hello dear Laura, you are really very amazing.
Could you please also suggest me to renovate my daughter’s room? We bought a Haus.we do not know how to renovate without wasting money.
I Hope you will read my comment 🤞
    Have a healthy life

  10. It actually kind of freaked me out how easily it was for you to take out the bathroom walls with a sledgehammer. I don't think it should have been that easy. I'm really glad that that stuff is gone from your house.

  11. That DJ Play & Pack Station (pack & play already taken 😆) is SICK! I agree it's one of the best things you've made. 👍🏻. Something along these lines could really be a serious product to sell, especially to DJ's who have a really good business and they can afford something like this and have a van to carry it around.

  12. To the folks who suggested putting DVD's & USB's into a time capsule along with pictures I will say 80-100 years from now THEY will say… "Oh can you believe this stuff? I had to find an expert to find out what this stuff was. The pictures I could see, but these other things I had no ideas. They are totally archaic. It's really too bad there's no way for us to see what's on these or in these or however they work. We have no way of doing that now. I donated them to the Technology Museum. The have no way of getting into them either, but the can display them."

I suggest that you print out transcripts in German and English to go with the photographs, so when they can't play these DVDs or use these USB memory sticks they will at least have some way of knowing what was going on.
